I was tagged by my very good friend Kira, she has a fantastic YouTube channel that I will link below, her videos involve discussing books, tv and film - not to be biased but, they're the best videos ever.. so go go go!

Okay let's get into the questions!

How many books is too many in a series?

I personally believe that a series can have too many books, I think that when a series surpasses the eight book mark, they really need to reconsider some choices..

Three books in a series is always a nice number to go on but it depends on how much I like the books, I'm not opposed to a couple more but there's definitely a limit.

How do you feel about cliffhangers?

Hate them. They give me way too much anxiety when it's a book I love. However.. if it's a book that already has the sequel out then i'm all for it because I can get straight into that. But if the sequel isn't out yet then, no thank you, i'm way too impatient.

Hardbacks or paperbacks?

Paperbacks all the way, I love holding and reading them, it just seems much more comfortable for me than hardbacks do. The only hardback I own is Four by Veronica Roth, and even then I would like to replace that with a paperback.

What is your favourite book?

My favourite book is Divergent by Veronica Roth. Both the book and film hold a special place in my heart. I saw the film when it first came out in 2014 and loved it, i'm aware there are probably better films but it's just so nostalgic and important to me that i'm not sure anything could replace it. I read the book a few years later and absolutely adored it, in my opinion it really is the perfect dystopian, I would 100% recommend.

What is your least favourite book?

I would have to say my least favourite is The Woman in Black by Susan Hill. I was surprised that I didn't enjoy this book as the film is great. But I was incredibly bored, it wasn't scary, it was very descriptive but only regarding the locations and setting, not at all about the 'big scary Woman in Black'. It was a huge let down.

Love Triangles : Yes or no?

I'm not really a fan of love triangles, I think that's because if I really like two people together then I don't want anything to disturb that, I find it really irritating, i'm boring I know.

The most recent book you didn't finish?

I don't typically not finish books, the only one I can think of is IT by Stephen King. It's such a shame because the IT mini series and new film adaptations are my absolute favourite horror. I enjoyed what I read but it's so long that I slightly lose interest and become lost from all the information you have to take in. I would like to give it another go one day, we'll see.

A book you are currently reading?

As i'm writing this, I just finished reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K Rowling a couple hours ago. I love Harry Potter, the films and books, the version I read was actually the illustrated book by Jim Kay, I can't recommend them enough, they have such beautiful images, they're so lovely.

The last book you recommended to someone?

I'm not sure which was the last book but I definitely remember recommending The Maze Runner series by James Dashner to my friend Kira (who wasn't overly fond of them, just how i'm not overly fond of her now! kidding.. I think).

I also recommended her The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold.

The oldest book you have read by publication date?

The oldest book by publication date i've read would be Twelve Years a Slave which was published in 1853. I didn't really like this book, it's hard to explain.

It's a fantastic look into the horror of slavery, but I just didn't like the writing style because of how old it is, and I found myself getting confused sometimes with the timeline, when certain things took place and where they took place.

The newest book you have read by publication date?

A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins is the newest published book that i've read, I gave it 3/5 stars on goodreads.

It was really interesting to see into the young life of Coriolanus Snow, it pieced together a lot of events from the previous Hunger Games books. I wasn't blown away though so that's why I only gave it a 3 and not higher.

Favourite author?

I don't think I have a favourite author? Very disappointing I know.

Buying books or borrowing books?

Buying, always buying. I love my bookcase and just staring at my beautiful books like a weirdo..

A book you dislike that everyone seems to love?

The only book I can think of is 12 Years a Slave by Solomon Northup, I wasn't too keen on it but a lot of people really enjoy reading it from the reviews that i've seen.

Bookmarks or dog ears?

Definitely bookmarks, I love my books too much to dogear them.

A book you can always re read?

This is a tough one, I love re-reading books, but it's got to be Divergent by Veronica Roth. I love Divergent, I could read this over and over. A few others I like to re read are Five Feet Apart (Rachael Lippincott), The Lovely Bones (Alice Sebold) and The Hunger Games (Suzanne Collins)

Can you read whilst listening to music?

No, I have to have perfect silence whilst i'm reading, I have a tough time concentrating otherwise.

One POV or multiple?

I prefer one point of view but i'm not opposed to reading from multiple, if it helps the storyline, or if I like the characters enough.

Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?

I read paperbacks and dislike audiobooks, so I definitely don't have the time to read a whole book in one sitting. However, yesterday I finished reading The Duff by Kody Keplinger in one sitting, that was the first time i've ever done that.

Who do you tag?

Anybody! It would be nice to see other book lovers taking part who want to! I'm not sure who created this tag otherwise I'd credit them, if anyone knows, drop a comment!

Thank you for reading!
