I watch A LOT of television shows, so this took me a while to think of them all, I've probably missed a bunch of the ones I like but I believe I've wrote 26 in total, 13 for this post and some honourable mentions... I'll try not to drag it on. This is in no particular order.
Gossip Girl

To be honest this is a must watch. It's a very wacky show, highly unrealistic (not to mention with some controversial characters) but also quite entertaining. However I think the last couple seasons drag, the best are the early seasons.
PLOT : Gossip Girl follows the lives of privileged teenagers on the upper east side. With roller coaster romances and piles of secrets hiding away for Gossip Girl to find, this show is sure to bring the upper east side and its drama into our lives.
Shadowhunters

Shadowhunters actually took me quite a few goes to get into but once I did, I loved it. I was so disappointed it got cancelled, it felt unfulfilled, it needed a better ending than the one it got, it was very rushed. The show is a little on the cheesy side, but the different plots throughout are really good, and the characters are so easy to fall In love with. It's just one of those shows you either love or hate really, just turns out that it took me some time to admire it.
PLOT : Shadowhunters follows Clary Fray, who finds out on her birthday that she is not who she thinks she is but rather comes from a long line of Shadowhunters, human–angel hybrids who hunt down demons. The series is set in an urban and contemporary New York City.
Big Bang Theory

It's not my favourite of the comedy genre but I know for a fact that i'll at least laugh once in every single episode, the writers do a great job. What I love most is that every character has such charming and engaging qualities about them, there isn't a main character that I don't like.
PLOT : The Big Bang Theoryis a comedy about brilliant physicists, Leonard and Sheldon, who are the kind of "beautiful minds" that understand how the universe works. But none of that genius helps them interact with people, especially women. All this begins to change when a free-spirited beauty named Penny moves in next door.
New Girl

It's very hard to say what my favourite comedy show is, but this is a very high contender. I can't even explain my love for this show, I watch it over and over. I think the jokes are some of the most well written in comedy, it's so witty. The episodes always have such fantastic plots. New Girl showcases some of the best characters in tv, they all have very unique personalities
(I'm a Winston die hard)
PLOT : After a bad break-up, Jess, an offbeat young woman, moves into an apartment loft with three single men. Although they find her behavior very unusual, the men support her - most of the time.
Teen Wolf

Teen Wolf was the first show I ever really loved, the one I would anxiously await for the next season. I started watching it when season two came out (2012), I actually watched that before season one, it made a lot more sense when I eventually watched the first season..
I think this show mixes comedy and drama so well, it's never too much of the other. My favourite aspect of the show are the characters (humour coming a very close second), obviously there are characters I like and dislike but altogether they work so well. I couldn't imagine a different cast, each season when new characters joined, it always pieced together nicely.
The storyline is amazing, its hard to make a supernatural show without it being a little cringe, and this show does it - I love the creatures in it, it has such a wide variety: werewolves, banshees, wendigos and more. It's a miracle any human survived, including the hunters.
PLOT : An average high school student and his best friend get caught up in some trouble causing him to receive a werewolf bite. As a result they find themselves in the middle of all sorts of dramas in Beacon Hills.
Stranger Things

I always find it strange that I like this show so much, I'm not really into sci-fi, but I think that its much more than that, it's also a comedy, a drama and a romance, it has something for everyone. I love that it's not some show about teen (played by grown adults) drama, it seems more real, minus the supernatural creatures and powers involved. It's such a fresh change in television.
PLOT : A young boy, Will Byers, goes missing near a top-secret government laboratory. As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl.
The Office (US)

I've only ever watched the US version of The Office so I can't speak for the UK version but this show is amazing. My friend loves this show and got me to watch it and I'm so glad I did. It's remarkable, an entirely different sort of comedy. You get to see lives completely change throughout, as a camera crew follows them around for 9 years, it leaves you feeling sentimental and emotional when things happen to these fictional characters.
PLOT : The Office is an American mockumentary sitcom television series that depicts the everyday lives of office employees in the Scranton, Pennsylvania, branch of the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company.
13 Reasons Why

I love 13 Reasons Why, I always will. It's definitely controversial, but it's also a very important show, with crucial subjects. However it's not everyones cup of tea though and I respect that.
I think it portrays mental health issues relatively well, although it highlights it in a more dramatic way for the show.
13 Reasons Why characters have some of the best character development that I have seen. People who were once ignorant became insightful, people who were cruel grew goodhearted and loving, I think the best example would be Justin Foley.
PLOT : Thirteen Reasons Why, follows teenager Clay Jensen as he returns home from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers a group of cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker - his classmate and crush - who tragically committed suicide two weeks earlier. On tape, Hannah unfolds an emotional audio diary, detailing the thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Through Hannah and Clay's dual narratives, Thirteen Reasons Why weaves an intricate and heartrending story of confusion and desperation that will deeply affect viewers.
Glee

I'm writing this post after the tragic death of Naya Rivera and I would just like to give my deepest condolences, she was a terrific actress and an amazing person and mother, it's such a terrible loss, she was such a bright star, rest in peace Naya.
I love glee, it's such a corny and entertaining show. It has some of the most insane storylines whilst still keeping it real, whether it be controversial or not (will schuester being a bit of a creep). Not to mention the entire cast were so talented, with such great acting abilities and amazing singing voices (minus poor Mike Chang, great dancer though). I still listen to glee songs on a daily, they did some fantastic covers.
PLOT : When a high school Spanish teacher becomes the new Glee Club coach (a club he was previously in) he takes on a group of very different but talented students. Training a Glee Club has never been so amusing. New bonds created and friends for life made. Get ready for "New Directions".
Friends

Friends is a classic, everybody has seen it, unless you live under a rock. It's incredible how well the show is still doing, 26 years later from the date it aired. I still watch it on a daily basis, it's a show that I find so comforting, whether I need to laugh or cry, I can definitely rely on friends to do the job. I couldn't say a bad word about this show. It will forever be one of the best comedies in TV history. If you haven't watched it, I would recommend doing so.
PLOT : Rachel Green, Ross Geller, Monica Geller, Joey Tribbiani, Chandler Bing and Phoebe Buffay are six 20 something year-olds, living off one another in the heart of New York City. Over the course of ten years, this average group of buddies goes through massive mayhem, family trouble, past and future romances, fights, laughs, tears and surprises as they learn what it really means to be a friend.
Bobs Burgers

Bobs burgers is such a special animated show, in my opinion it has its own type of comedic style, including having such eccentric and funny characters. The episodes are always filled with such humorous chaos, there's never a boring moment, and the jokes always land well.
PLOT : Bob Belcher and wife, Linda, love one another and their kids: Tina, Gene and Louise. Together, they run Bob's Burgers where the food is great but life always gets in the way of business.
Never Have I Ever

This is a new Netflix show that came out this year, I ended up binge watching it in a day, I liked it a lot. I will say it has it's moments of cringe, and the main character constantly ends up making questionable decisions, but it is so entertaining. A huge positive is that it embraces Indian culture, and has an actual diverse cast.
PLOT : The complicated life of a modern-day first generation Indian American teenage girl, inspired by Mindy Kaling's own childhood (who is an executive producer on the show and creator)
Rick and Morty

At this point everyone has heard of Rick and Morty, it's iconic and definitely reaches well with the younger audience, although saying that it is a show that all ages can enjoy, I know that a variety of people enjoy watching it. Rick and Morty in a way reminds me of Bobs Burgers, it has it's own style of comedy, it's very quick and witty, a completely original TV show. However it does take a very long time to produce each season, but it is worth it though, for comedy genius.
PLOT : An animated series about the infinite adventures of Rick, a genius alcoholic and careless scientist, with his grandson Morty, a 14 year-old anxious boy who is not so smart. Together, they explore the infinite universes; causing mayhem and running into trouble.
A few honourable mentions
Riverdale : The quiet little town of Riverdale is turned upside down after it is struck with the mysterious death of Jason Blossom, a popular high school student and member of the most powerful family in town. Archie and his friends explore the struggles of everyday life in a small town whilst taking on the haunting case of Jason Blossom. in order to solve this mystery, the rag tag group of friends must first unlock the secrets that lie buried deep beneath surface of their hometown. Riverdale may not be as innocent as it appears.
The Walking Dead : Sheriff Deputy Rick Grimes gets shot in combat and awakens to a zombie apocalypse. He meets a group on the outskirts of Atlanta and, soon, becomes their leader. The walkers (what they call zombies) feed on the living, so they try to move to different and safer locations to survive.
Orange Is The New Black : Piper Chapman is a public relations executive with a career and a fiance when her past suddenly catches up to her. In her mid-30s she is sentenced to spend time in a minimum-security women's prison in New York for her association with a drug runner 10 years earlier. Forced to trade power suits for prison orange, Chapman makes her way through the corrections system and adjusts to life behind bars, making friends with the many eccentric, unusual and unexpected people she meets.
Atypical : Atypical is a coming of age story that follows Sam, an 18-year-old on the autistic spectrum as he searches for love and independence. While Sam is on his funny yet emotional journey of self-discovery, the rest of his family must grapple with change in their own lives as they all struggle with the central theme: what does it really mean to be normal?
Euphoria : A look at life for a group of high school students as they grapple with issues of drugs, sex and violence.
